Job placement in Poland

Poland is a European country located right in the heart of Eastern Europe. Based on official data, the population of Poland is currently around 38 million people. Poland is a proud member state of the EU and the Schengen area, which provides many benefits for its citizens. The main ethnic group is Polish (94%). The official language is Polish. The Polish currency is Zloty (PLN).

According to Wikipedia statistics on immigration to Poland, following the collapse of the Soviet Union, there has been a fresh wave of post-Soviet residents’ immigration since 1989, mostly of job seekers, businessmen, and vendors, concentrated in bigger cities with an established market.

After Poland’s accession to the EU in 2004, the Polish government was forced to make immigration to Poland more difficult for the people from Belarus, Russia or Ukraine with the intention of meeting the requirements of the Schengen zone. Nevertheless, Ukrainians constantly receive the most temporary residence permits in Poland and most settlement permits.

Immigration legislation obliges non-European Union Citizens who intend to stay in the Republic of Poland over 90 days consecutively or those who want to work or conduct business activities, to apply for a residence permitin the EU. The law currently provides three major grounds getting residence permits in Europe: getting an education in Poland, getting a job or starting a business.

TRC is issued on a few bases as education, research, work, business activity, residence with family. If you found a job you request a work permit and based on WP, you apply for TRC. The work permit is necessary for each company; you cannot work on the same employment permit with any other firm. Keep in mind thatchanging a job means changing work permits.

If an individualwants to live and work in Poland legally, he should have awork visa invitation. Such a document is anannual state employment visa that belongs to the D 07 categorywith a voivodship invitation.A voivodeship invitation to employment means that the candidate has a legitimately confirmed offerto work within the country’s territory. The precise registration place is specified in the invitation. Essentially, it is the hosted individual’saddressand the address of the company.

The voivodeship invitation gives the individual the following benefits:

  1. A foreigner has the legal right to reside and work in Polandfor anentire year;
  2. The visa holder has the legal right to stay in Schengen zone for 90 days twice a year;
